1. What is Face The Jury?
You've heard the expression "You can't judge a book by it's cover". Well, that doesn't apply at Face The Jury. We're shallow. You submit a picture of yourself and let your peers rate you solely on your appearance. |
2. Can I change my picture?
Yes. If your rating is so low that you are desperate to raise it, feel free to substitute a new picture for your current one. |
3. Can I submit any picture I want?
No. Distasteful pictures will not be tolerated. If you feel the need to post an inappropriate photo, there are 5 million other sites that will accomodate you. |
4. How often can I vote?
You can vote as many times as you want, but only once for each photo. |
5. Do I have to be a member to vote?
No. Anyone can come to the site and give their opinion of how good-looking people are... or aren't. |
6. Can I contact other people on Face The Jury?
Yes. You can send a message to any member by clicking on the person's picture and clicking the "send me mail" link. |
7. My rating is really low...what can I do to raise it?
As stated earlier, submit a new picture. You can also invite your friends to join. Unless you owe them money, they will probably give you a good rating. Also remember that your profile plays a role in your rating as well. In fact an empty, outlandish or egocentric profile will probably earn you a very low rating from most people. |
8. Every time I try to register it says my image is too big or of the wrong type?

10. I voted for someone and it didn't register a vote for them. Why not?
Unfortunately, some insecure people like to turn off cookies on their browsers and try to vote for themselves or someone else multiple times. So if you've already voted for someone, and don't have cookies enabled on your browser, it will seemingly allow you to vote on them again. This vote however is not registered. |
11. How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from your profile page by clicking the "Delete Account" link and following the instructions on that page. |
12. I have a high enough rating to be in the top 10 but I'm not listed. Why not?
You need at least 20 votes to qualify for the top 10. |
13. Is it possible to get a rating above an 8.0?
Although the rating scale is 0-10, achieving anything above an 8.0 is very difficult. Some people will rate you a 0.0 just for the hell of it. These people will drag your rating lower no matter how hard you try to prevent it. Don't worry though, they do it to everyone, though if you're a guy you probably have it twice as tough. If you're rated anywhere between 4-8 for a girl and 3-6 for a guy, you're doing quite well. Also remember that a higher number of votes will give you a more realistic rating. |
14. How do I add a greeting to my profile?
It's easy. Just go to your profile, and click "Edit My Greeting". This will take you to the edit greeting form where you can upload any greeting you want. You can record your own voice, or use one of your favorite sound clips. The only restrictions are: the audio file must be under 20k and the file must be a .wav or .mp3. |
15. How do I add favorites to my profile?
Just go to your profile, and click "View Favorites". This will take you to the edit favorites form where you can add people to your lists. Just type in the user name of the person you want to add in the spot you want to add them. Make sure and click the save button at the bottom of the screen to lock in your picks. You can also see who has selected you as one of their favorites by looking at the section at the bottom of the screen. |
16. How do I achieve "Platinum" status on the message board?
- 1-10 posts Bronze
- 11-25 posts Silver.
- 26-50 Gold
- 50+ Platinum
